Three Generation Family Owned
About Taylor’s
James and Rae Taylor, founded the Taylor Oil Company in 1954. James was raised on a farm in Orum, Nebraska. Before graduating, he enlisted in the Navy to serve in the Korean War. Rae was the daughter of an Arkansas coal miner who met James while he was docked in San Diego, California.
When starting the oil company, their mission was to supply farmers and service centers with the fuel they needed to work. Shortly after, James took the opportunity to create a convenience store under the name Taylor Quik Pik.
